Jordana Schrager, of by Jordana, is the first to receive an investment from the Zell Founders Fund at the University of Michigan’s Zell Lurie Institute. The fund invests in ventures that must be founded and run by people graduating from the University of Michigan within 12 months of the investment.
Jordana was very involved in the Zell Lurie Institute while she was a student, which is how she knew to apply once she graduated. Throughout her years at the University of Michigan, she has created great relationships with ZLI faculty, attended many ZLI workshops, and won the Dare to Dream Integration Grant. The Zell Founders Fund has allowed Jordana to pursue her passions and follow her dreams through their investment of $100,000 in by Jordana. This investment has given her the opportunity to create a new footwear and fashion line by mass producing her unique and signature designs on sneakers, leggings, and phone cases. She is launching with the Peace and Love Collection in mid-November and the Trendy Tribal Collection soon after. She now has the ability to grow her business from custom, hand-drawn art into a mass produced footwear and fashion line sold online and to retail stores across the country! She has plans to grow her line with new and unique designs, many more products, and more distribution. Stay tuned for what’s to come!
